Needle Phobia

I had a needle phobia for over 20 years and when I read the article in the Daily Record about Ali Campbell. My phobia stemmed from a bad visit to the dentist as a child and had progressively worsened as I got older. I could no longer look at needles on the television and the mere thought of an injection or people talking about needles sent my stomach into fast spin mode. I was really astounded at how quickly Ali managed to cure me. It felt really strange as within 90 minutes I was holding a hypodermic syringe in my hand. I was shocked; I thought it would have taken a few sessions to cure me. After a little hypnosis at the end of the session I felt quite relaxed about the whole needle concept. The same night Alistair had been to visit me there was real life medical program on and I sat and watched it just to see if I was really okay or had the cure gone when Alistair left. My partner was shocked as a woman got an injection and I didn't flinch. I had felt a bit stupid about my fear but couldn't seem to stop the wave of panic that flooded over me now that panic just doesn't happen. No stomach lurching, no panic and best of all no fear. I just wish the Daily Record had run there article earlier.
